Drivers on some Saskatchewan highways were still dealing Friday with the impact of a snowstorm that hit the province Wednesday night.
Early Friday, travel wasn’t recommended on the Trans-Canada Highway from Whitewood to the Manitoba border. An employee at the Co-op gas station in Whitewood said roughly 50 trucks have been stranded at the station since Thursday.
That advisory was listed mid-morning.
As of 12:30 p.m., travel still wasn’t recommended on Highway 20 from the junction with Highway 15 to the junction with Highway 16, and from Highway 16 to Humboldt.
Icy and slippery conditions were being reported on a number of highways in the province.
