The RCMP is looking for suspects after the community hall in Milleton was virtually cleaned out.
The village is located 60 kilometres east of Lloydminster.
According to the Maidstone RCMP, the missing items include:
- A microwave
- A vacuum cleaner
- A water cooler
- Approximately 50 salt and pepper sets
- Six large stainless steel bowls
- All the plastic wrap and aluminum foil
- Three to four dozen dish towels
- Approximately two dozen dish cloths
- Eight to 10 large plastic tubs
- Two roaster ovens
- Thirty red and white gingham tablecloths
- Two electric tea kettles
- Two three-quart pots
- Several large, heavy duty restaurant-type pots with lids
- Two coffee makers
- Several large boxes of assorted plastic cutlery
- Three large square green garbage cans, and
- One coffee butler/thermos
As well, several blankets, sets of keys and a left-handed bow and arrows were also taken. Some of the items are adorned with a marker that says they belong to the hall.
“Many of the things that were taken are kitchenware and houseware used for community events,” Sgt. Jolyne Harrison, the Maidstone RCMP detachment commander, said in a media release.
“Everyone in rural Saskatchewan will understand how important these items are to a community hub, such as a local town hall.”
