Minimum wage earners in Saskatchewan received a raise on Friday.
The province’s minimum wage bumps up to $11.81 per hour, an increase of 36 cents.
At $11.75 per hour, New Brunswick now has the lowest minimum wage in Canada, according to the Retail Council of Canada.
Saskatchewan’s minimum wage is calculated using an indexation formula based on the Consumer Price Index and Average Hourly Wage for Saskatchewan.
Increases are announced by June 30 and take effect on Oct. 1 of each year.
