Around 10 p.m. police had closed the bridge for city crews with street sweepers.
According to officers, a man driving a van disobeyed the signs and drove into on-coming traffic.
He refused to stop so police tried to get in front of his vehicle to slow him down, the cruiser ended up getting rear-ended.
Once officers were finally able to approach the van the driver started to back up.
In the end, he was arrested and charged with obstruction.
