Six arrested, facing more than 100 combined charges following weapons investigation

The Saskatoon Police Service Guns & Gangs Unit has seized two guns and charged six suspects in a recent weapons investigation.

On Monday around 1 p.m., members of the unit, along with Tactical Support and Patrol executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Avenue Q South.

The two sawed-off guns that were taken included one loaded and another with nearby ammunition.

The suspects are all from Saskatoon between the ages of 24 and 35. Their ages and charges are as listed:

A 35-year-old woman is facing 16 firearms-related charges;
A 24 year-old man is facing 18 firearms-related charges and three offences of breaching a release order;
A 35 year-old man is facing 18 firearms-related charges and one offence of breaching a release order;
A 32 year-old man is facing 18 firearms-related charges and was also wanted on a Criminal Code warrant;
A 32 year-old man is facing 18 firearms-related charges, one offence of breaching a release order and was also wanted on Criminal Code warrants;
A 35 year-old man is facing 18 firearms-related charges and one offence of breaching a conditional sentence order.
