Smoke from forest fires in British Columbia has made its way to Saskatchewan.
Several communities in southwest and central Saskatchewan woke up Monday morning to hazy conditions.
Environment Canada issued a special air quality statement shortly after 6 a.m. warning people may experience coughing, throat irritation, headaches or shortness of breath.
Children, seniors and those with lung or cardiovascular conditions were listed as being particularly at-risk.
B.C. remained under a provincial state of emergency Monday, with over 30,000 people evacuated due to forest fires.
As of Sunday, officials with the B.C. Wildfire Service reported 160 wildfires burning, with 15 posing threats to nearby communities.
