A Friday evening check stop quickly turned into a big-time drug bust after Moose Jaw police located a suspicious vehicle.
The vehicle was found during a high visibility check stop on July 16, 2021, in Moose Jaw.
The 33-year-old driver of the vehicle was arrested for outstanding warrants and during a search incident to arrest, police located and seized more than two pounds of methamphetamine.
The approximate street value of the drugs seized is $96,000.
The Moose Jaw man arrested has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. He has been released with a future court date, according to Moose Jaw police.
