The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating the city’s fifth murder of 2021.
Around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to a home in the 1800 block of Avenue B North. Inside, they found a 49-year-old man who was dead.
Investigators believe the person or people responsible for the man’s death were known to him.
Police said an autopsy was being performed Friday.
Members of the Saskatoon Police Major Crime and Forensic Identification units and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service continue to investigate.
