Somebody was in a hurry.
On Saturday, an Estevan RCMP officer conducting a regular patrol on Highway 18 saw two cars travelling side by side on the divided highway near Bienfait.
One car was clocked at 214 kilometres per hour (or around 133 miles per hour) in the 110 km/h zone and the other car was doing 190 km/h (around 118 mph).
A 34-year-old Estevan man and a 30-year-old man from Bienfait both were charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. They’re to appear in Estevan Provincial Court on June 14.
