A Saskatoon family has its adaptive bike back, and Saskatoon police have one man in custody.
Last Monday, Tobi-Dawne Smith told 650 CKOM about the theft of the adaptive bike, which allows her child Red, who is autistic, to get out and get active.
In a release Monday morning, Saskatoon police said the 43-year-old suspect was charged with possession of stolen property. It was discovered on an online sales site.
Police recovered the tricycle at a home on the 100 block of St. Paul’s Place.
The adaptive bike was taken from a home which was destroyed by fire in early February. Smith said the home had been the site of three other thefts, including one in which a neighbour chased down the suspect and them arrested.
