The City of Saskatoon has confirmed a COVID-19 outbreak in a workgroup at the city’s water and sewer maintenance division Saturday.
A news release from the City said the outbreak is located at a water and sewer maintenance building on King Street that is only accessible by employees.
An outbreak is declared by the Saskatchewan Health Authority when two or more people test positive for the coronavirus and are linked to a specific setting outside of the household within a certain time period.
The declaration will remain in effect until there have been 28 days without a new positive COVID case.
The City doesn’t expect operations will be impacted because of the outbreak.
