10:00 – In the latest book by evolutionary behavioral scientist Dr. Gad Saad, he argues that “infectious progressive ideas have become the enemy of reason,” and signs can be seen in the riots and political chaos of 2020. Saad says the West’s commitment to freedom, reason, and true liberalism have never been more threatened than they are today, and he joins Gormley to tell us more.
LIVE: Gad Saad, Professor, Evolutionary Behavioral Scientist, author of ‘The Parasitic Mind: How Infectious Ideas Are Killing Common Sense’
11:00 – Lab-grown meat hit the market for the first time this week in Singapore. This isn’t imitation meat, but it’s grown in a lab synthetically so no animals need to be slaughtered before the meat reaches your fork. Professor Sylvain Charlebois studies food distribution and policy, and he joins Gormley to explain how meat can be artificially grown, and what it means for the future of food. Would you try a plate of lab-grown meat, or do you prefer your protein to come from a more recognizable source? Give Gormley a call at 1-877-332-8255 and let us know!
LIVE: Sylvain Charlebois, professor in food distribution and policy at Dalhousie University.
12:00 – The Early Learning Equal Start campaign, a project of the Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation, is aiming to increase literacy rates among early learners in Saskatoon through a number of different programs. The campaign launched in late November, and got a big kick-start thanks to a $10M donation from the Brownlee Family Foundation. Wayne Brownlee is one of the project’s co-chairs, and he joins Gormley to tell us more.
LIVE: Wayne Brownlee, Former Exec VP/CFO of Nutrien, philanthropist, and co-chair of the Early Learning Equal Start Campaign.
