In a release Wednesday afternoon, the City of Saskatoon says a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the ACT Arena on the figure skating side.
The city says it was informed of the outbreak by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA).
An outbreak is confirmed when two or more people test positive for COVID-19.
The outbreak is limited to the figure skating side of the arena, which is fully leased by a third-party organization and has a separate entrance from the public rink.
The city says it is their understanding the SHA will follow up and contact people according to the contact tracing process as necessary.
Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting have taken place in the impacted area since the positive case was identified.
