A new Mainstreet poll shows people in Regina divided over safe injection sites.
The company surveyed 628 residents of the city between Jan. 3 – 4, 2017.
Of those surveyed, 41 per cent opposed a safe injection site within the city. Thirty-nine per cent said they supported one.
Thirty-seven per cent of those polled said they follow stories about fentanyl closely. However, just over half of people still said recreational drugs are neither more dangerous or safer than they were three years ago.
Twelve per cent said they believe recreational drugs are safer. Twenty-six per cent thought they are now more dangerous.
Mainstreet reported that the margin of error for this poll was 3.91 per cent and that the poll is considered accurate 19 times out of 20.
