Although there has been less traffic in Saskatoon recently with more people working from home due to the COVID-19 crisis, work on the Sid Buckwold Bridge will still likely cause a few traffic headaches for drivers.
The rehabilitation work is set to resume Monday.
The northbound lanes heading into downtown, including the First Avenue ramp, will be closed at 8 a.m. Monday for the final phase of the project.
The left turn onto 20th Street from Idylwyld Drive northbound will not be permitted, however, a U-turn will be in place at Auditorium Avenue.
The work will continue into the fall, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
The work was supposed to get underway March 30, but concerns by the contractor about COVID-19 precautions delayed it for a week.
