Saskatoon playgrounds are now closed as the city continues to take measures to try to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a release, the city said surfaces people touch — especially playground equipment — should not be used for health and safety reasons.
The city also said sports fields should not be used for organized sports or play and suggests people should not play games such as soccer and shinny that put them in close contact with others.
Trails, public squares and dog parks will remain open, but the city reminded people to practise proper social distancing.
