A fire broke out inside the Canadian Tire location at Confederation Mall on Monday.
Shortly after noon, firefighters received a 911 call reporting the blaze inside the building.
When they showed up, they learned a staff member had used a fire extinguisher to put out the blaze.
About $5000 in damage was done. Police are still investigating the cause, but believe it’s suspicious in nature.
Nobody was injured in the fire.
