Saskatoon police say a 70-year-old woman is dead after being hit by a recycling truck.
Police responded to a parking lot on the 200 block of Cree Place in the Lawson Heights neighbourhood around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Arriving officers found the woman, who died of her injuries at the scene.
The Saskatoon Police Service Collision Analyst Unit is investigating.
In a media release, the city said the collision involved a private contractor used for non-city related recycling collection.
“Our thoughts are certainly with this person’s friends and family at this difficult time,” the media release read.
No city workers or vehicles were involved.
