A 16-year-old boy has been charged with second-degree murder following the death of a 32-year-old man in northern Saskatchewan.
La Ronge RCMP were called to a home in Grandmother’s Bay for reports of an assault around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Norris Charles, a 32-year-old resident of the community located roughly 460 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon, was found dead at the home.
Initial investigation led officers to arresting the 16-year-old suspect who remains in custody. He cannot be named due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The youth will make his first appearance in La Ronge Provincial Court on Monday.
An autopsy for Charles is scheduled for Monday.
