Ethan Kruger made 25 saves Monday as the Brandon Wheat Kings edged the Regina Pats 2-1 in WHL action at the Brandt Centre.
After a scoreless first period, Ben McCartney gave the Wheat Kings a 1-0 lead at 5:29 of the second period.
Luka Burzan put the Wheat Kings up by two at 7:11 of the third, but the Pats’ Drew Englot cut the deficit to one at 17:19 of the final period.
Kruger then made the lead stand up for Brandon, which improved to 30-20-3-2.
Donovan Buskey stopped 22 shots for Regina (18-29-3-2).
The Pats are to visit the Prince Albert Raiders on Tuesday.
