Saskatchewan hockey teams and players were well represented during day two of the NHL Draft in Chicago Saturday.
SASKATCHEWAN BORN AND RAISED
- Kole Lind – Kelowna Rockets
Lind was selected 33rd overall by the Vancouver Canucks. Lind is a native of Shaunavon and played right wing last season for the WHL’s Kelowna Rockets.
- Jake Leschyshyn – Regina Pats
The Vegas Golden Knights picked Leschyshyn 62nd.
Leschyshyn grew up in Grasswood but was born in Raleigh, N.C., while his dad Curtis played for the Carolina Hurricanes.
Leschyshyn was the Regina Pats third line centre and was off to a promising year before a season-ending knee injury sidelined him.

- Ian Scott, G (Prince Albert Raiders) 110th overall by Toronto Maple Leafs.
- Tyler Steenbergen, C (Swift Current Broncos) 128th overall by Arizona Coyotes.
