The Saskatoon Fire Department is reminding drivers to pull to the right, stop and give emergency vehicles a clear path through intersections.
The reminder comes after a fire truck and car collided while firefighters were responding to a call about a woman experiencing chest pain on Wednesday night.
In a media release, Saskatoon fire said a car hit the side of the truck at the intersection of Grosvenor Avenue and Eighth Street East at 10:21 p.m.
The car and truck had to be towed from the scene, the release said.
There weren’t any injuries and a second fire truck was dispatched to the original medical call.
As a result of the collision, the truck will be out of service for an extended period.
