Calgary has Bo Levi Mitchell and Drew Tate. B.C. has Jonathon Jennings and Travis Lulay. Ottawa has Henry Burris and Trevor Harris. Edmonton has Mike Reilly and James Franklin.

It’s all about the quarterbacks. There really is no team sport that relies more on one player than the Canadian Football League with its quarterbacks. Jennings, the league’s next star, singlehandedly took control of B.C.’s late-game rally over Winnipeg, kind of like Doug Flutie used to do when he played in the CFL.
And if the starter falters, those four teams have great backups. Now consider that when February rolls around and Darian Durant’s contract expires, the Roughriders might not even have one good quarterback. Yeesh!
