A new study, for not-for-profit company Entandem, shows 52 per cent of Canadians don’t want to hear Christmas music until December 1st.
Of the more than 1,500 people surveyed between Nov. 8-11 most said the classic holiday soundtrack in stores improves their shopping experience.
Three-quarters of respondents say they enjoy hearing Christmas music throughout the season while 42 per cent believe the soundtrack of the season reminds them to start gift shopping.
The survey, conducted by Leger Intelligence Group, wasn’t all rosy 13 per cent of people said they don’t like holiday music at all.
