The memory of Aly Jenkins will live on at the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon.
The Sandra Schmirler Foundation will be presenting a $10,000 gift for the funding of life-saving equipment in Aly’s name to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the hospital.
“Just as Sandra touched the hearts of so many, Aly was beloved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed,” read a statement from the foundation’s facebook page.
The donation is being matched by the hospital’s foundation to bring the total to $20,000.
The competitive curler passed away unexpectedly on October 20 while giving birth to her third child. Her funeral was held Sunday in Warman.
