There was some positive news Thursday in the tragic Jenkins family story.
Scott Jenkins said in a Facebook post that baby Sydney is showing signs of improvement.
Scott’s wife, Aly Jenkins, passed away during childbirth Sunday. Sydney was immediately rushed to the neonatal intensive care unit in critical condition and needed 100 per cent breathing assistance.
In the Facebook post, Jenkins said Sydney’s oxygen demand is now between 23 and 25 per cent, she has warmed to normal body temperature and she has been keeping her eyes open. There was even hope the Jenkins family would be able to hold her Thursday.
Aly Jenkins was a competitive curler, and many in the community of Warman and in the curling community have rallied around the family.
