Morning fire spreads from garage to power lines

Saskatoon fire crews responded to several 911 calls about a garage fire on Saturday morning on the 300 block of Whitney Avenue South.

Crews found heavy smoke and flames coming out of the single car garage around 8:23 a.m.

The fire spread to nearby power lines and fences.

To extinguish the blaze some of the garage’s walls were removed

The cause remains under investigation after the fire caused around $20,000 in damage.
