Details are being announced about the funeral for Kelly Bowers.
Bowers passed away earlier this week. Bowers was very well known in local sports circles.
Saskatoon Hilltops head coach, Tom Sargeant worked with Bowers over the years, including having him as a coach.
Sargeant spoke highly of Bowers and his dedication to sports in Saskatoon, whether it was football, basketball or wrestling.
Bowers is a member of the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame, and spent nearly five decades coaching, reffing and volunteering.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday at Prairieland Park, and is open to the public. Doors open at noon, with the ceremony beginning at 1 p.m.
