The NHL season is upon us so why not predict what is going to happen this season?
The Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames make the playoffs. California dominated that division last year but I think Canada will start to climb back. One team places third, the other gets a wild card.
The Montreal Canadiens get beat by the eventual Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning in the divisional round.
Toronto jumps a spot or two but are still a cellar dweller — Ottawa is not much better.
The Vancouver Canucks miss the playoffs, bottom out and sadly Willie Desjardins finds himself out of work. Things are going rotten in Vancouver and the Coach is always the first one gone.
Winnipeg stays competitive and is also in the wild card hunt, though a tough division of Chicago, Nashville, St. Louis, Dallas means it’s likely a long spring in the ‘Peg.
The Stars win the West and Tampa wins the Cup.
So now you know who not to put your money down on.
