Human remains found outside North Battleford

Human remains were found during a search in a rural area outside of North Battleford on Thursday.

The North Battleford RCMP and the major crime unit were searching the area as part of an ongoing investigation. A police dog discovered the human remains.

An autopsy scheduled for next week must be done before the body can be identified. The RCMP said the investigation will continue.
