Saskatoon police were quick to react to a reported wildlife sighting along the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon Sunday.
At around 2:40 p.m., Saskatoon police were told two cougars were seen in the Meewasin Park near the pavilion in the 2700 block of Spadina Crescent East.
Police were unable to confirm the reported sighting but sent a conservation officer from the Ministry of Environment to the area. The air support unit was called to search from above, but were also unable to locate any wildlife.
Police are reminding the public to be mindful of the wildlife along the riverbank.
