Saskatoon police are reminding homeowners to lock their belongings in hopes of reducing easy opportunities for thieves.
From May 3 to June 3 police responded to 88 break-ins to sheds and garages across the city.
In a media release, police said in 50 of the cases the building was left unlocked.
Police are saying to always lock sheds and garages.
Leaving property unsecured only welcomes crimes of opportunity the release said.
If people notice suspicious behaviour, police suggest calling them at 306-975-8300.
