The bike lanes on Fourth Avenue are coming out.
City crews on Wednesday began tearing out the white posts and patching holes on the road.
The city said the removal will take place over three phases over five days, and will require closing sections of Fourth Avenue.
The controversial bike lanes, which were initially installed as a pilot project in 2016, met their demise after a vote by City Council in April.
City Council decided to axe the protected bike lanes and look at adding new ones elsewhere.
