A 27-year-old man is facing assault charges after Saskatoon police subdued him with a Taser Sunday morning.
Police were called around 10:30 a.m. to a home off Gladmer Crescent in the Queen Elizabeth neighbourhood with reports of a man seen attacking a woman.
Officers arrived to find a 27-year-old man attacking his girlfriend and trying to drag her into a residence, according to a police media release.
The man then allegedly attacked an officer. Police said a Taser was used when the suspect reached for a weapon during the scuffle.
From there, the man was arrested without further incident. He’s scheduled to appear Monday in Saskatoon Provincial Court.
