A man faces serious charges — including forcible confinement — after a young woman was reportedly attacked in her home in Saskatoon’s Stonebridge neighbourhood.
It happened in the 100 block of Wellman Crescent.
Police said the man knocked on her door Monday at around 5 p.m. The man asked to use the woman’s phone and she refused, but he forced his way into the apartment anyway. She was reportedly sexually assaulted.
She was finally able to get away at around 7:30 Tuesday morning and call police.
A man in the apartment was arrested.
Police say the 37-year-old man and the 21-year-old woman are unknown to each other.
The accused is to make his first court appearance on Thursday.
