A 24-year-old man has been charged after a standoff with police in Regina Friday afternoon.
Adam Taniskishayinew, who was wanted on a province wide warrant is charged with attempted murder as well as possession of a firearm and breaching probation.
The charges stem from a shooting that happened on August 28 in the Glencarin neighborhood of Regina.
Taniskishayinew was arrested after police blocked off an area around the 1700 block of Winnipeg Street, south of Saskatchewan Drive and surrounded a house in the area.
The standoff lasted for several hours and ended when Taniskishayinew came out of the house after negotiating with police.
Taniskishayinew will make his first court appearance Tuesday morning.
