The winner of Saskatchewan’s biggest lottery jackpot ever has come forward to collect her prize.
Mary Wernicke from Neville, Sask. is officially $60 million richer after winning a Lotto Max prize on Aug. 12.
She arrived with family members in a limousine to collect her oversized cheque in front of media at the DoubleTree Hilton hotel in Regina on Thursday.
Before Wernicke’s big win, the record for a lottery jackpot won in the province was $40 million. That Lotto Max ticket was purchased August 2011 in Paradise Hill, Sask.
The winning numbers were 5, 7, 15, 18, 19, 27 and 28. The bonus number was 25.
