A 16-year member of the Saskatoon Police Service is stepping down after pleading guilty to sexual assault.
Const. Rob Brown has resigned effective immediately.
In April, he was handed a conditional discharge after his guilty plea. He was given a year of probation and was ordered to do 75 hours of community service.
Brown was charged with sexual assault after inappropriately touching a woman on Remembrance Day of 2017 at the Hugh Cairns Armoury.
After the charges, Brown was suspended from the force with pay.
An internal review has been discontinued.
