If your weekend plans include a drive on the highway, expect to come across a few extra police cars.
The RCMP is increasing its presence on main routes over the weekend, with check stops and patrols set up throughout the province.
Police say some extra attention will be on Highway 11 between Saskatoon and Regina before and after Saturday’s Rider game. There will also be more officers on patrol in Saskatoon monitoring events like the Exhibition.
Other areas seeing extra patrols include Kindersley, Rosetown, and Kerrobert.
