The Regina Pats are making a bid to host the Memorial Cup in 2018.
It will be the 100th anniversary of the junior hockey championship as well as the Pats centennial season in 2017-18.
Wednesday, August 10 is the deadline for teams to express an interest to bid. The Pats are among a handful of teams trying to get the Memorial Cup.
The official bidding process will follow in the next few months.
The Pats last hosted the Memorial Cup in 2001.
