There’s a cat burglar somewhere in Saskatoon, hiding away a kitten that was nabbed from the SPCA’s adoption floor Tuesday.
The SPCA said in a release Thursday a 16-week-old tabby cat named Captain Crunch was taken from his kennel sometime between 4:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
He has light brown and white colouring with medium-to-long hair, and weighs 1.2 kilograms.
He also has a PetLink microchip with the ID #981020029718612.
Police have been notified of the catnapping, and shelter staff have reviewed surveillance footage.
The kitten is the 11th animal to go missing from the shelter in the last five years.
Anyone with information on Captain Crunch’s location is asked to call the Saskatoon SPCA at 306-374-7387.
