Saskatoon’s first baby of 2019 is a girl.
Ayla Juliette Mann was welcomed to the world by her parents Graeme and Meagan at Royal University Hospital at 1:55 a.m., officially making her Saskatoon’s first baby of the new year.
Baby Ayla weighed 3,190 grams, or seven pounds and one ounce. Coincidentally enough, it’s the second New Year’s Day baby for the Mann family. The couple’s first-born child, Emery, was celebrating his second birthday as his parents awaited baby Ayla. Emery was the second Saskatoon baby in 2017.
The Mann family sent special thanks to the all the doctors, nurses and Royal University Hospital staff that assisted with the labour and delivery of Ayla.
