Two men were injured early Thursday afternoon in the community of St. Brieux after a small explosion occurred while they were working on underground water lines.
According to the Melfort RCMP, one of the workers was airlifted to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance.
The other was transported to hospital by local paramedics.
Neither man’s injuries were considered life-threatening, RCMP said, and there is no risk to public safety.
The incident is now under investigation with the assistance of Occupational Health and Safety, RCMP said.
St. Brieux is located roughly 25kms south-west of Melfort.
