While some are busy searching for Boxing Day shopping deals, keen cleaners can already recycle their natural Christmas trees in Saskatoon.
Six drop-off locations opened Wednesday and will accept trees until Jan. 31:
- Lawson Heights Recycling Depot
- University Heights Recycling Depot
- Meadowgreen Recycling Depot
- George Ward Pool parking lot
- Wildwood Golf Course parking lot
- Doukhobor Society parking lot
In Regina, four drop-off locations will open Thursday and operate until Jan. 31:
- 500 Arcola Avenue
- Joanne Goulet Golf Course
- Kinsmen Park South
- City Landfill
In both Saskatoon and Regina, all decorations must be removed from the trees before they’re dropped off, and the trees must not be in disposable bags.
The recycled trees will be turned into compost and mulch.
