After previously being charged with attempted murder, a Carrot River man now faces second-degree murder charges.
Calen Head of the Red Earth First Nation was first charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and possessing a weapon after allegedly assaulting 22-year-old Alyssa Nawakayas.
Nawakayas passed away in hospital on April 29, leading to Head now being charged with second-degree murder.
He made his first appearance in Nipawin Provincial Court Wednesday, May 4.
