Officers responding to a domestic assault call Sunday morning used a taser on the 23-year-old suspect.
Police were called to a home on the 300 block of Avenue J North around 7 a.m. to reports a man was assaulting a woman and threatening to stab people.
People inside the home refused to let officers in when they first arrived.
In a media release, police said, officers breached the door and a man charged them.
An officer immediately deployed his taser.
After an altercation, the man was arrested.
The man was taken into custody and now faces multiple charges.
