Yesterday the XFL (2.0) unveiled the eight cities that will house teams in the fall of 2020.
Eight centres from Tampa Bay to Seattle and points in between will be the sites of this reboot.
The curtain will also go up on the Alliance of American Football this coming February. That league will also consist of eight teams.
There will be 16 new professional football teams on the field within the next year and a half. So should CFL fans be worried? The answer is no.
I say that for two reasons:
The new leagues will provide competition for players, coaches and staff, but won’t be a threat the existence of the Canadian Football League itself.
