The Saskatoon Contacts let three different leads get away in a 4-3 loss to the Lloydminster Bobcats at the Telus Cup national midget hockey championships in Quispamsis New Brunswick on Wednesday.
Brett Hamm scored early in the third period to five Saskatoon a 3-2 lead, but a minute and a half later, Zane Franklin tied the game.
Ty Smith scored the game winner for the Bobcats with 6:08 left to go in the third period.
Chance Adrian and Brody Vogel scored the other Saskatoon goals.
The 0-3 Contacts will meet St. John on Thursday.
