Fire investigators say a malfunctioning fire place damper caused a house fire on Taylor Street Saturday evening.
Saskatoon fire crews called just after 8 p.m. to 3615 Taylor Street where they arrived to find flames coming from the front basement window.
The fire was brought under control within a minute of being on scene, however damage is extensive — estimated at $100,000 — according to a media release.
There were no injuries.
