Saskatoon police have charged four men following an investigation into cocaine trafficking.
Officers observed a drug transaction take place between two men in the area of 3rd Street East and Preston Avenue Tuesday.
The two men, ages 23 and 57, were arrested at the scene.
From this, police said they were able to execute a search warrant in an apartment on the 300 block of Kingsmere Boulevard. That’s where two other men, ages 30 and 33, were arrested.
In total, police seized 34 grams of cannabis, 6.11 grams of cocaine packaged for distribution and more than $25,000 in cash.
The charges are as follows:
- The 23-year-old man faces charges of drug possession and cocaine trafficking, along with possessing proceeds of crime over $5,000. He will make his second appearance in Provincial Court on April 15 at 10:30 a.m.
- The 30-year-old man faces charges of possessing marijuana, fake identity documents and proceeds of crime over $5,000. He will make his second appearance in Provincial Court on April 14 at 10:30 a.m.
- The 33-year-old man faces charges of obstruction, possessing marijuana, along with proceeds of crime over $5,000. He will make his second appearance in Provincial Court on April 15 at 10:30 a.m.
- The 57-year-old man faces a single charge of cocaine possession. He will make his second appearance in Provincial Court on May 10, 2016, at 2:00 p.m.
